Guwahati: Following several seizures of cattle heads from trucks and other vehicles in Assam, smugglers adopted a new strategy to smuggle cattles.
At least 35 cattle heads were rescued at Bokakhat in Golaghat district of Assam on Tuesday night.
They were rescued from a truck that was intercepted by police for a routine check.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested the driver of the truck in connection to the seizure.
The arrestee identified as Bulbul Hussain.
It is learned that the cattle heads were being smuggled from Kuruwabahi to Samaguri before being intercepted at Bokakhat.
