Guwahati: A wild elephant was found dead at a pond in the Goalpara district of Assam on Friday morning.
According to reports, the tusker’s dead body was found on the banks of a pond in the Lakhipur area.
Locals discovered the carcass first and later informed the forest authorities.
Reportedly, it is suspected that the wild tusker died due to food poisoning.
However, further information is being conducted to ascertain the exact cause of its death.
