Two Aides Of Sonali Phogat Held After Autopsy Reveals Injuries
Guwahati: Goa Police detained two associates of Haryana BJP leader Sonali Phogat on Thursday for their alleged involvement in her murder. Sonali Phogat’s body had “many blunt force injuries,” according to post-mortem examinations.
According to reports, Sonali Phogat’s bodies were not found to have any injuries with sharp edges.
The two Phogat colleagues who were detained in connection with her death have been identified as Sudhir Sagwan and Sukhwinder Wasi.
Reportedly, Rinku Dhaka, the brother of Phogat, named them in his complaint to the Anjuna Police on Wednesday. When Phogat arrived in Goa on August 22, she was joined by Sagwan and Wasi.
Phogat, who rose to stardom on TikTok, also had an appearance on the Bigg Boss reality competition show. She also acted in Haryanvi television series, films, and music videos.
As per reports, On August 23, her body was carried to St. Anthony Hospital in Anjuna, North Goa, where on first glance, the physicians believed she had died of a heart attack.
However, Anjuna police added the allegation of murder to the case shortly after the autopsy on Thursday, which found blunt force injuries on her body, and the two of her associates were detained.
