Guwahati: Two men were arrested for allegedly selling teer tickets as the game of teer is illegal in Assam on Monday.
The arrested persons have been identified as Manoj Barman and Dhar Kumar. The incident took place in the Basistha area of Guwahati.
According to reports, the arrested persons was in the connection with sales of teer tickets.
The police officials further seized mobile phones, ₹ 14,130 cash and some Teer books from their possession.
However, legal action has been initiated against them.
