Guwahati: Two persons were arrested for allegedly being involved in the theft of bicycle by the Guwahati police in Basistha locality on Tuesday.
The arrestees were identified as Gautam Bora who is a resident of Lechia Nagar area of Guwahati and other Satter Ali who hails from Golokganj town in Dhubri district of Assam.
According to reports, they had been stealing bicycles from Guwahati.
The officials further informed that at least four expensive stolen bicycles have been recovered from the accused.
The news was shared by the official Instagram account of the Guwahati police.
The Guwahati police posted, “An EGPD team from Basistha PS cracked a case of high-end bicycle theft within 24 hours, with the arrest of Gautam Bora of Lechia Nagar & Satter Ali of Golakganj. 4 expensive bicycles were recovered from their possession.”
