Two arrested with Pen Gun and Pistols in Assam’s Badarpur

Guwahati: A team of Assam Police and Border Security Force (BSF) have seized at least four 7.65 mm pistols and one “pen pistol” and arrested two persons from the Badarpur Railway Station on Monday.

The operation was initiated by the team based on specific inputs about two persons carrying suspected weapons through a train from the railway station. On setting up the operation and tracking down two persons who matched the description present with the police team, the team searched their bags and found five pistols of which four were 7.65 mm pistols and one was a sophisticated pen pistol.

The police informed that the arrested persons were identified as Nur Islam of Karimganj and H Liang Khiyamon from Manipur’s Tuensang.
The police are yet to question the duo and further is yet to issue the official statement regarding where they were headed or what were they planning to do with the guns.
