Two Forest Staffers arrested for possession of Rhino Horn
Guwahati: Two staffs of Kaziranga National Park have been arrested by the forest department after there were allegations that they had illegally kept a rhino horn with them.
Divisional Forest Officer Ramesh Kumar Gogoi said that they had allegedly possessed a horn tip without any authorizations. Both of them were engaged as staffers in the Bagori Range of Kaziranga.
The accused were identified as Soniya Orang and Dwipen Kumar Nath.
The DFO informed that Orang was engaged as a Forest Guard while Dwipen was working as a home guard in the forest department.
