Two Individuals Apprehended for Drug Trafficking in Assam’s Salbari

Guwahati, 10th May: In a decisive move against illegal drug activities, the Assam Village Defence Organization has detained two young men for trafficking narcotics in Salbari, Baksa. The apprehended individuals, identified as Omar Farooq and Aminur Islam, residents of Bilaspur, were caught in the act of engaging in the unlawful trade.

The suspects have been handed over to the Bahbari police to undergo further legal proceedings.

During the arrest operation, law enforcement officials seized a significant quantity of drugs concealed within three containers. Additionally, two mobile phones and a motorcycle suspected to be connected to their illicit activities were confiscated as evidence.

The police have launched a comprehensive investigation into the matter to uncover any potential accomplices or networks involved in the drug trafficking operation.
