Guwahati: Two insurgents belonging to different proscribed group has been apprehended by security forces in a joint operation.
The joint team of Manipur police and troopers of Assam Rifles nabbed the two cadres.
The insurgents belonging to the proscribed groups People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and United National Liberation Front (UNLF) were arrested in Manipur’s Imphal East and Bishnupur on Tuesday.
Sharing the news on Twitter, Assam Riffles wrote, “ASSAM RIFLES APPREHENDS PLA & UNLF INSURGENTS IN MANIPUR Keithelmanbi and Loktak Battalion of #AssamRifles, on 26 Apr, in a joint operation with Manipur Police apprehended insurgents of proscribed groups PLA and UNLF from Imphal East and Bishnupur, Manipur.”
