Two JMB operatives held in Assam, explosive materials seized
Guwahati: Two suspected operatives of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) have been arrested and a cache of explosive materials seized from their possession in Barpeta district of Assam on Thursday.
The arrestees identified as Mokkodos Ali Ahmed from North Kaljar and Sofiqul Islam, a resident of Jania.
Based on specific input, a team from Howly Police conducted a search operation at Mokkodas Ali’s residence in North Kaljhar.
On searching Mokkodas Ali’s residence, police officials recovered the items in a flower garden.
Meanwhile, three handmade bombs, three electronic detonators, four exclusive Neogene nineties, and five mobile phones have been seized from their possession.
