Guwahati: Two suspected militants of Myanmar based outfit; Maraland Defence Force (MDF) were arrested in Siaha district of Mizoram.
Based on specific input, troopers of Assam Rifles launched a search operation at Zawngling village and arrested the duo.
The police officials further seized 20 rounds of 12-gauge 70mm cartridge, one banned kenbo bike, 11,100 face value of Myanmar Kyat (currency) and Indian currency worth Rs 650 from their possession.
Later, both of them along with the seized items were handed over to state police for further legal proceedings.
