Guwahati: Two persons died after being hit by speeding trains in two separate incidents in Assam.
In the first incident reported from Dhalpur in the Lakhimpur district of Assam, when a woman was hit by an Arunachal-bound train.
The identity of the deceased woman is yet to be ascertained.
In the second incident reported from Sivasagar district of Assam, a young man was killed instantly after he was run over by a Rajdhani express train
The incident was reported from Demow on Saturday night.
The identity of the youth couldn’t be ascertained immediately.
Meanwhile, police have started an investigation and filed cases in relation to both incidents.
