Guwahati: Two teenagers drowned in a pond near Jogighopa in Bongaigaon district of Assam on Friday afternoon.
According to reports, the incident occurred while the duo was taking a bath in a pond in the Khakumura area.
However, both of them strayed far from the pond’s bank and drowned down.
Reportedly, the deceased has been identified as Umacharan Das and Kalyan Das.
Meanwhile, local police arrived on the spot and recovered the bodies for post-mortem examination.
