Education: In a significant stride towards aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has officially announced the development of a comprehensive and standardized equivalence framework dedicated to the recognition of academic qualifications earned from foreign educational institutions. This initiative aims to cultivate a more globally interconnected education ecosystem within India.
The decision comes in response to persistent difficulties encountered by Indian students who return to their home country holding degrees from international institutions. These students have often faced cumbersome bureaucratic processes and unpredictable timelines when seeking recognition and equivalence for their hard-earned credentials.
