Guwahati: In yet another sensational incident, a body of an unidentified person has been recovered from a railway track in Biswanath district of Assam on Saturday.
The body has been recovered at around 6:30 am from Simaluguri in Biswanath Chariali of the district.
According to reports, the Borgang Railway Station master informed them about a man’s body lying on the railway tracks at Simaluguri.
After receiving the information, the Biswanath Police reached the spot.
Reportedly, it was suspected that the man died on the spot after being hit by a speeding train.
However, the identity of the deceased man is yet to be ascertained.
Police officials said that the exact cause of his death will be ascertained after post-mortem.
Meanwhile, the police have initiated a probe into the matter.
