Union Budget 2023-24: Parliament’s Budget Session To be Held from January 31 to April 6
Guwahati: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi announced that the Parliament’s budget session of the Parliament will begin on January 31, 2023 and it will expire on April 6, 2023. There will be a total of 27 sittings, spaced out across 66 days, with the customary break.
The official tweet reads, “Budget Session, 2023 of Parliament will commence from 31 January and continue till 6 April with 27 sittings spread over 66 days with usual recess. Amid Amrit Kaal looking forward to discussions on Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address, Union Budget & other items.”
In addition to describing the plan, the minister added that the break will take place from February 14 to March 12, 2023 during the Budget session 2023–24. The department responsible for the Parliamentary Standing Committees will examine and exmaine the requests for funds during this time. Additionally, reports for several ministries and their divisions will be prepared.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will deliver the Union Budget 2023–24 on February 1, 2023. This year’s budget is also anticipated to be submitted electronically just like it was last year. The Finance Minister met with a number of industry executives and experts as part of pre-budget discussions to gather their views before the actual Budget preparations got underway.
