Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Arrives in Arunachal Pradesh for Infrastructure Review

Northeast Desk, 30th September: Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman, arrived at Donyi Polo Airport today to begin a two-day visit focused on reviewing key infrastructure and connectivity projects in Arunachal Pradesh. She was warmly received by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and Health Minister Biyuram Wahge upon her arrival.

Sitharaman’s visit aims to promote and evaluate the implementation of various ambitious projects in the state, with a particular focus on enhancing energy and connectivity. During her visit, she is expected to engage with local officials and stakeholders to ensure the progress of these initiatives.

On October 1, Sitharaman will attend a Credit Outreach Program at the DK Convention Hall, followed by the inauguration of the State Bank of India’s Regional Business Office in Namsai. The visit will also include other outreach initiatives aimed at furthering financial inclusion and infrastructure development in the region.
