Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s Assam Visit Cancelled; Prime Minister Modi to Address Rally on April 17

Guwahati, 6th April: The anticipated visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Assam on April 7 and 8 has been called off, as per sources familiar with the matter.

Shah had planned to speak at election rallies in Hojai, Lakhimpur, and Gohpur, but the cancellation comes amidst the increasing political fervor as the Lok Sabha elections approach.

Meanwhile, Assam Tourism Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah has revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Assam on April 17. He is expected to address a rally in Nalbari in the lead-up to the elections, as confirmed by Minister Mallabaruah.
