Union Minister Kiren Rijiju Pledges Support for Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Legacy Ahead of Maharashtra Elections
Northeast Desk, 30th September: In a statement ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju declared that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will take a strong stance against individuals who have allegedly insulted Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Rijiju emphasized the party’s commitment to preserving Ambedkar’s legacy and avenging any affronts to his honor.

Highlighting the demographic importance of the Buddhist community in Maharashtra, Rijiju noted, “Maharashtra has the highest population of Buddhists in India, and I will work for their welfare.” He reaffirmed his dedication to promoting the welfare of marginalized groups and ensuring that no injustice occurs against any community under the BJP’s governance.
Rijiju’s statements reflect the BJP’s strategy to galvanize support among various communities ahead of the elections, positioning the party as a protector of Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals and a champion for minority rights.
