Union Minister Kiren Rijiju Promotes #FitIndiaMovement with Morning Exercise Routine Video

Northeast Desk, 8th July: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has taken to social media to showcase his dedication to the #FitIndiaMovement, sharing a video of his morning exercise routine. In the video, the minister from Arunachal Pradesh can be seen performing walking squats, a challenging exercise that enhances lower body strength and cardiovascular endurance.

Accompanying the video, Rijiju emphasized the importance of regular fitness, stating, “Monday morning! Any place and any time 30 minutes #FitIndiaMovement.” He highlighted the contrast between his upbringing in the mountains and the fitness needs of urban dwellers, noting, “I come from mountains, and urban areas need more fitness regime.”

The choice of walking squats resonates with Rijiju’s mountainous background, as the exercise replicates movements often required in navigating steep terrain. Besides building strength, this functional workout improves balance and coordination.

Rijiju concluded his post with an encouraging message, “Be fit to work harder, live a simple and happy life.” His demonstration aligns with the overarching goals of the Fit India Movement, a national campaign aimed at promoting physical activity and sports in daily life.

By sharing his personal fitness regimen, Rijiju seeks to inspire citizens, particularly those in urban settings, to integrate regular exercise into their daily routines, irrespective of time constraints or location.
