Union Minister Pabitra Margherita to Attend Shillong’s Rozgar Mela
Shillong: Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Pabitra Margherita, is scheduled to attend the Rozgar Mela today at the State Convention Centre in Shillong.
Organized by the Department of Posts, NE Circle, the event forms part of a larger nationwide initiative, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youth through video conferencing.
This initiative seeks to boost employment and open up career opportunities in several critical government departments, including the Ministries of Home Affairs, Defence, Health, and Higher Education.
As new employees take up their roles in these essential areas, the Rozgar Mela represents a significant step in driving workforce growth and skill development across India.
In addition to formal appointments, the recruits will have access to foundational training via the ‘Karmayogi Prarambh’ online module, accessible through the iGOT Karmayogi portal.
This platform offers over 1,400 e-learning courses, designed to equip the newly appointed workforce with essential skills and knowledge. The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to building a skilled workforce and advancing the vision of “Viksit Bharat,” a developed India.
The Rozgar Mela is being held simultaneously at 40 locations across the nation, welcoming recruits into the Central Government workforce with a focus on their continued professional development.
