Union Minister Rajnath Singh Heads to Tawang for Diwali with Troops and Museum Inauguration

Tawang– Union Minister Rajnath Singh is set to arrive in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, today for a two-day visit, where he will celebrate Diwali with soldiers stationed along the India-China border.

Joining him are Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, who will also be visiting the region.

Singh, who shared his travel plans on social media, expressed anticipation for his time with the Armed Forces personnel and noted that he would attend the opening of a museum dedicated to Major Ralengnao Bob Khathing, a revered officer in the Indian Army. “Leaving New Delhi for Tawang on a two-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh. Looking forward to interacting with Armed Forces personnel and attending the inaugural ceremony of a museum dedicated to brave Indian Army officer Major Ralengnao Bob Khathing,” Singh wrote on X.

In parallel with the ministers’ arrival, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) is currently on a four-day visit to Tawang, accompanied by the state’s First Lady, Anagha Parnaik. As part of his tour, the Governor is visiting border villages as part of the Vibrant Border Villages program and will engage with troops stationed at forward posts along the sensitive border region.

The visit underscores the government’s focus on Arunachal Pradesh’s border security and its commitment to enhancing support for border communities. Through interactions with personnel and the local populace, officials aim to reinforce unity and demonstrate solidarity with both the troops and the residents of this strategically significant area.
