United Committee Manipur Condemns Double Bomb Blasts at Office, Stages Protest

Northeast Desk, 30th August: The United Committee Manipur (UCM) has strongly condemned the double bomb blasts that occurred at their office in Lamphelpat on the night of August 29. In response to the attack, the committee staged a sit-in protest today in front of their office, located in Imphal West district.

The blasts, which were carried out by unknown miscreants around 7:45 p.m., caused minor damage to the office property but fortunately resulted in no casualties. The UCM, a prominent civil society organization in the region, expressed deep resentment over the incident and called for immediate action to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Members of the UCM voiced their concerns during the protest, demanding swift investigations and accountability for the attack. The motive behind the bombings remains unclear, and no group has claimed responsibility so far.

Local police were quick to respond to the scene and have launched an investigation into the incident. However, no arrests have been made as of yet. The UCM’s protest highlights the increasing tension and insecurity in the region, with the community calling for greater protection and swift justice in the face of such violent acts.
