Guwahati: In a horrific incident, an ‘alcoholic’ man chopped the tails and ears of two dogs and consumed them along with whiskey in the Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh.
According to reports, the man ate the chopped ears and tails with salt.
Reportedly, the incident took place in the SDM colony in the Bareilly district’s Faridpur area.
According to the authorities, both puppies were in critical condition after the offender chopped off their body parts.
According to the police, the accused has been identified as Mukesh Valmiki. He carried out the cruel deed while accompanied by another person.
An investigation has been started after the accused was lodged in a jail cell under the Cruelty to Animals Act.
The accused has been booked under the Cruelty to Animals Act and an investigation has been initiated.
However, no arrests were made even after a report was filed against the in-human act.
