UP: Man stabbed to death on Meerut street

Meerut (UP): A 25-year-old man was slain in broad daylight on a popular roadway in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. CCTV cameras filmed the event, which occurred in the old city area.

A group of attackers can be seen stabbing the man in the middle of the road on CCTV footage. He tried to get up after they departed, but one of the attackers returned and gave the final blow. Passers-by were witness to the incident.

According to a PTI report, the murder was perpetrated following a fight the day before. The victim’s father claimed that he and his uncles Naushad, Javed, and Shahzad had a quarrel over drinking wine in the house.

It’s possible he was assassinated for the same reason.

According to police sources, Sajid had gone to Ittefaq Nagar, which is part of the Brahmapuri police station area, for some work on Sunday when he was attacked. The assailants fled the scene, and Sajid was brought to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The police inquiry is still ongoing.
