UP: Six killed, 25 injured as speeding truck rams into bus in Gorakhpur

National Desk, 10th November: As many as six people were killed and 25 sustained injuries in a road accident on the Gorakhpur-Kushinagar Highway.

The collision occurred when a speeding truck hit a parked bus near Jagdishpur in the Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh.

The passengers were standing on the road because the bus tyre was punctured.

 Some had already boarded a new bus while others were standing between the two vehicles when the collision took place.

Among the injured, more than 25 people were in critical condition and were immediately taken to the district hospital and medical college with the help of five ambulances.

Authorities, including the SP City and other officials, reached the scene, with doctors alerted and immediately arriving to attend to the injured.

The identities of two of the deceased individuals have not been determined yet, while those identified include Shailesh Patel (25), Suresh Chauhan (35), Neetesh Singh (25), and Himanshu Yadav (24).
