Guwahati: A museum honouring the life and message of Mahatma Gandhi was inaugurated in the American state of New Jersey.

Visitors to the museum in Atlantic City will be able to interact with interactive digital displays and artefacts to learn more about the pioneer of world peace.

Eminent members of the Indian-American community, including India’s Consul General in New York, Randhir Jaiswal were present for the inaugural ceremony.

The Gandhian Society in New Jersey founded the museum in collaboration with the Aditya Birla Group.

Jaishwal commended the Gandhian Society’s founder Bhadra Butala for his work on the project and the Birla Group for bringing the museum to the United States.

It is noteworthy that this is the first museum in the USA devoted to the “Father of the Nation.”

According to a press statement, the museum and the Martin Luther King Foundation will collaborate to portray the lives and messages of the two greatest men of the modern era.
