Vehicle Used to Shift Bodies Sent for Forensic Report In Guwahati Twin Murder
Guwahati: The car that was used to transport Amarjyoti and Shankari Dey’s bodies following their murders in Noonmati of Guwahati has been sent for forensic analysis.
On February 24, a forensic report on the machete used in the twin cold-blooded murder case in the Noonmati area was sent. The Guwahati police were able to recover the razor-sharp machete from Bondajan beel during Thursday’s search efforts.
Meanwhile, the three accused persons Bondona Kalita, Arup Deka and Dhanti Deka, in the spine-chilling twin murder case are currently being interrogated at the Noonmati Police Station in the presence of ADCP Kalyan Pathak.
Moreover, search operations have been carried out in Bondona’s home in Bonda’s Ganesh Path.
The Pan Bazar Police Station was relocated to the Noonmati Police Station earlier in the day by the Noonmati Police, who also moved Bondona and two of her collaborators there.
According to a recent development in the double murder investigation, the primary suspect Bondona Kalita killed her husband Amarjyoti Dey after he had murdered Shankari Dey, the other victim.
According to reports, Nirmalya Dey, whose complaint led to the police starting their investigation into the incident, revealed this fresh angle in the Guwahati murder case.
The nephew of the victim Shankari Dey claims that Bondona Kalita stated that she killed her spouse after he murdered his mother. This adds a new element to the terrible story that has shaken the state as a whole.
Moreover, it runs counter to what the primary suspect, Bondona Kalita, admitted to the Guwahati police at the outset of the probe. Kalita was given additional six days of custody by the Guwahati Police, and it is anticipated that the investigation into the dramatic murder case will move forward quickly.
Guwahati police currently assume that this is an attempt to sabotage the investigation and derail the police’s line of inquiry while Bondona Kalita had previously confessed to having committed the two murders to the police.
The latest information indicates that Bondona Kalita only killed her spouse Amarjyoti Dey out of sorrow over the passing of her mother-in-law Shankari Dey.
In the horrific twin-murder case of Noonmati, the Guwahati Police also conducted search operations in Meghalaya’s Dawki, although they were unsuccessful in finding any body parts.
