Veteran Odia Actor Raimohan Parida Found Dead; Suicide suspected

Guwahati: Veteran Odia actor Raimohan Parida, who appeared in both theatre and motion pictures has been recovered dead on Friday at his home in Bhubaneswar’s Prachi Vihar area.

According to reports, the actor was 58 years old when he passed away.

The two daughters and wife of Parida are still alive. His family members discovered him deceased in his room this morning.

An official stated that although it initially seemed to be a suicide, further investigation is being conducted. The officer continued, “The body has been submitted for post-mortem.”

Many actors visited Parida’s home in the meantime to pay their respects.

He was well-known for his parts in more than 100 Odia films and 15 Bengali films. He was also well-liked in the theatre community.

It is difficult to understand that such a jovial person, who has seen many ups and downs in life, can conceive of doing anything like this, said actor Siddhanta Mahapatra, who co-starred with Parida in a number of movies. In his line of work, he achieved great success.

Parida, who had come from nothing to build a name for herself in the industry, could commit suicide, according to another actress, Sritam Das.

Rama Laxman, Asibu Kebe Saji Mo Rani, Naga Panchami, Udandi Sita, Tu Thile Mo Dara Kahaku, Rana Bhumi, Singha Bahini, Kulanandan, and Kandhei Aakhire Luha are only a few of Parida’s works.
