Veteran Singer KK’s Autopsy to be Conducted Today in Kolkata
Guwahati: Kolkata Police have filed an unnatural death report in connection with the sudden death of singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK.
The case has been filed at the New Market police station, where the late singer’s family is being awaited.
The singer fell ill while playing at an event in Kolkata on May 31 and was taken to the CMRI hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
According to police officials, an inquest and post-mortem will be done after the family’s agreement and the body identification process.
According to reports, he suffered injuries to his face and head. The hotel workers and event organisers will also be questioned by the cops.
Reportedly, KK’s mortal remains would be handed over to his family after the post mortem.
An investigation into the matter is currently underway. The preliminary post-mortem report is currently being awaited by the investigators.
The late singer was pronounced dead at the city’s CMRI hospital. The playback singer’s autopsy will take held today at SSKM Hospital.
KK was one of the most versatile singers in the Indian cinema industry, with songs recorded in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Assamese, and Bengali, among other languages. Messages of grief, tribute and condolences started pouring in soon after his demise.
