Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar to Visit Arunachal Pradesh for Convocation and Legislative Address
Arunachal: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is scheduled to embark on a one-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh on November 30, where he will participate in key events, including the 22nd convocation of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) for the 2023-24 academic session.
In addition to attending the university’s convocation, Dhankhar will address a special session of the eighth legislative assembly of Arunachal Pradesh. The Vice President’s visit underscores the importance of education and governance in the region.
This marks Dhankhar’s second visit to the state in 2024, following his attendance at the Statehood Day celebrations in February.
Ahead of the Vice President’s visit, Assembly Speaker Tesam Pongte chaired a Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting on November 28 to finalize the agenda for the special session. The meeting was attended by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pasang D. Sona, Deputy Speaker Kardo Nyigyor, and BAC members Nikh Kamin, Thangwang Wangham, and Oken Tayeng.
Dhankhar is expected to return to New Delhi on the same day after completing his engagements in the northeastern state.
