Victor Das: Marks of Candidates Should Be Disclosed Openly
Guwahati: Victor Das suggested on Wednesday that the results of the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination be made public, following the announcement of the results.
As many as 1,000 students who attended his coaching center’s online sessions passed the test.
He enquired, “What are the cut-off marks for General, OBC, and SC in the examination?” and added that the results of the test-takers should be made public.
“The second phase’s viva should be documented,” he continued.
The exam’s results were released on Tuesday.
It should be noted that Victor Das was arrested on September 9 for distributing untrue information on candidates’ selection for the Grade III and IV positions in the Direct Recruitment exam, which was conducted across Assam on August 21 and 28.
Das was questioned by the police but was unable to produce any supporting documentation for the claims he had made on social media.
Victor Das, who owns a coaching institute in Guwahati, in a tweet claimed that “a huge lobby is running for the backdoor appointment” and that “people are demanding money from 3 lakhs to 8 lakhs depending on the post”.
However, later on September 30 the Gauhati High Court accepted his bail request and exonerated him of all charges.
