Violence Erupts in Manipur Student Protest as Clashes with Police Lead to Injuries

Northeast Desk, 10th September: Violence erupted today in Manipur as student-led protests turned chaotic, resulting in multiple injuries. The situation deteriorated when students, frustrated by the lack of response, attempted to advance towards the Governor’s office around 2 PM. Police intervened, blocking their progress and urging them to appoint representatives for dialogue. Despite efforts to negotiate, most students insisted on a direct meeting with the Governor.
