Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs Assam Police arrested one person for allegedly being involved in drugs peddling from Jorhat district on Saturday.
The arrestee has been identified as Nabango Protim Kashyap.
Following a tip off from sources a team of Jorhat police officials launched a search operation against drugs and arrested the accused.
During the operation, the officials recovered 4.12 grams of heroin from his possession.
The police officials also seized one bike and Rs 2500 in cash.
Sharing the news on Twitter, Jorhat Police wrote, “Based on a secret information a raid was conucted by OC Jorhat,TSI & PS staff regarding delivery of heroin and seized 4.12 gms of heroin along with one bike and cash of Rs. 2500/-from the possession of Sri Nabango Protim Kashyap.”
