Guwahati: Guwahati Police arrested two persons for allegedly being involved in illegal drug peddling in the city.
The arrestees have been identified as Bilal Ali and Nasirruddin Ahmed. Both of them is a resident of Mangaldoi town in the Darrang district of Assam.
According to reports, security officers from the GMCH in Guwahati apprehended Bilal Ali and Nasirruddin Ahmed for suspicious behaviour and discovered 0.30 gms of heroin and three syringes from their possession.
Later, the security officers’ hand the culprits to the Bhangagarh police station.
It may be mentioned that both of them were arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act by Bhangagarh Police Station.
