“We Are Not Dead”: CN Clarifies After Nostalgic Memes Go Viral

Guwahati: Cartoons, childhood, and treasured memories! People who were born in the early 1990s or the early 2000s must have enjoyed viewing a wide range of popular Cartoon programmes.

On Tuesday, the news of merging Cartoon Network with Warner Bro shocked people around the world. Fans rode on a classic rollercoaster.

Social media fans visited the microblogging platform to say goodbye to their all-time favourite cartoon programme. Moreover, a lot of people thanked the network for giving them an optimistic childhood, and others even posted memes on Twitter declaring it the best cartoon channel ever.

Following the trending of the phrase “RIP Cartoon Network” on the microblogging platform, the studio has since replied to the outcry with a funny tweet. The official Twitter handle of Cartoon Network shared a post on Saturday. “Y’all we’re not dead, we’re just turning 30.”

“To our fans: We’re not going anywhere. We have been and will always be your home for beloved, innovative cartoons. More to come soon,” it added. The post has amassed 2.1 lakh likes and more than 29,000 retweets.
