After the communication towers were vandalised in Punjab amid the farmers’ protest the Reliance Industries led by business tycoon Mukesh Ambani has released a statement in which they said “not done corporate or contract farming in the past, and has absolutely no plans to enter this business.”
The Reliance Industries also clarified that it has no plan to purchase any agricultural land in Punjab/Haryana or anywhere else. According to Police over 1,500 telecom towers owned by Jio were damaged in Punjab, which has led to disruption in services in several parts of the state.
