National Desk, 14th March: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has suffered a significant injury in an accident, as confirmed by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Thursday. She has been admitted to the state-run SSKM hospital in Kolkata for treatment.
According to a hospital official, the 69-year-old politician slipped and hit her head on furniture at her home, shortly after returning from an event in South Kolkata’s Ballygunge.
The TMC shared images of Mamata Banerjee on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), showing her forehead bleeding. The party urged people to keep her in their prayers, acknowledging the severity of her injury.
