National Desk, 17 May: West Bengal government has decided to beef up the security cover of the former cricketer Sourav Ganguly. West Bengal government provides Z-category security to former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly.
The security of former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly has been beefed up. Ganguly, a former BCCI president has been provided with Z category security. It is to be noted that he was already under Y category security. He has been provided with Z category security arrangements.
The West Bengal government has decided to beef up the security category of the former cricketer. However, it is not yet clear whether there is any threat to his security.
It is to be noted that Sourav Ganguly is currently associated with IPL franchise Delhi Capitals. He is playing the role of director of cricket in the team.
According to reports, no such request was made by Sourav Ganguly. Government decided to give Sourav Ganguly Z category security. It is worth mentioning here that all other celebrities and sports personalities get such protection all over the country.
