West Bengal: TMC Leader Saifuddin Laskar Shot and Killed; Suspected Attacker Lynched in Joynagar

National Desk, 13th November: Trinamool Congress (TMC) local leader Saifuddin Laskar was shot and killed in Joynagar, South 24 Parganas district, West Bengal on November 13.

The incident led to the lynching of a suspected attacker by individuals at the scene.

They said further that Saifuddin Laskar, the president of the party in Bamungachi, Joynagar, was confirmed as the deceased TMC leader.

Supporters of Laskar reportedly apprehended and killed one of the suspected attackers, claiming the involvement of CPI(M) sympathizers in Laskar’s death.

Locals reported that following the event, Laskar’s followers targeted neighbouring CPI(M) supporters, looting and setting fire to some of their homes.

Sujan Chakraborty, a member of the CPI(M) central committee, emphasized the need for a thorough police investigation to uncover the assailants and expose any underlying plots, stating that blaming the CPI(M) is not justified.
