Speaking to ANI, Kumar highlighted the budget’s focus on infrastructure, agriculture, and manufacturing, ensuring the common people benefit from sustained economic growth.
“This is a future-oriented and well-balanced budget, addressing the needs of all sections of society. It ensures that common people will have the means to meet their daily needs, with funds allocated to infrastructure and previously overlooked sectors now receiving attention. This budget is for everyone and aims for inclusive development,” Kumar stated.
Echoing similar sentiments, Dipankar Ray, Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kunjaban, applauded key provisions that will impact agriculture, healthcare, education, and sustainable energy. He emphasized the introduction of the “Dhan Dhanya Yojana,” calling it a game-changer for farmers and a step towards revolutionizing India’s agricultural sector.
Ray also highlighted the government’s boost to healthcare, noting that customs duty on 36 life-saving drugs has been removed, and a significant budget increase to ₹98,100 crore will strengthen the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.
Additionally, the announcement of 200 new cancer centers was seen as a crucial move to expand healthcare access for underprivileged communities.
On financial relief for the middle class, Ray welcomed the increase in the income tax exemption limit to ₹12 lakh, calling it a “welcome step for taxpayers.” He also commended the hike in the loan limit for farmers’ credit cards to ₹5 lakh and the ₹2,000 crore allocation for nuclear energy, which he believes will significantly contribute to India’s energy sector.
With widespread appreciation from officials and educators, the Union Budget 2025 is being seen as a progressive framework designed to boost economic growth while addressing social and financial concerns.
