WhatsApp Down In India: Users Unable to Send, Receive Messages

Guwahati: Instant messaging app WhatsApp is apparently down since 12.30 pm on Tuesday.

Users worldwide, not just in India, were unable to send messages to group chats.

However, Meta, parent company of WhatsApp and Facebook, has not yet released an official statement on the subject.

Not only is the app unavailable on mobile devices, but also on WhatsApp’s web and desktop clients.

It is still unclear when the app will operate normally again.

A number of individuals arrived to check Twitter to see if instant messaging was unavailable to all users.
