Wife of Khalistan Leader Arrives at Dibrugarh Central jail
Guwahati, 4 May: Kirandeep Kaur wife of Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh on Thursday travelled to Dibrugarh to meet her husband in Dibrugarh Central jail. Daljit Singh Kalsi’s wife Neeru and son Sunny Kalsi arrived at Dibrugarh Central Jail today as well. The three members went to the Dibrugarh Central Jail to meet him.
On April 27, two counsel and 12 other members of the imprisoned Khalistani activist arrived at the Central Jail in Dibrugarh. At the Dibrugarh Central Jail, nine of the Waris Punjab De supporters who are currently in prison will be met by one member of each family. However, no one from Amritpal Singh’s family showed up to meet him today.
Bhagwant Singh Sialka, attorney Simranjit Singh and another team member are the two solicitors on the SGPC-led team. When the family of the imprisoned Khalistani activist arrived, the security in the Dibrugarh Central Jail was subsequently enhanced. And more CPRF personnel were stationed outside the prison today. On April 27, attorney Bhagwant Singh Sialka said that the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) would appeal the board’s decision to the High Court.
“We have arrived to meet the detainees and leave for Punjab after the family members of the detainees meet their respective kin. We will try to challenge whatever will be the board’s order at the High Court,” he added.
