The meticulously planned search, which began late on June 23, yielded a substantial cache of weaponry, underscoring the ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.
Acting on precise intelligence inputs, a dedicated team comprising officers from Williamnagar and Rongjeng police stations launched the covert operation at around 11:30 PM on Sunday. The operation, spearheaded by the Additional Superintendent of Police, Williamnagar, involved meticulous scanning of the rugged terrain near Chikama village, a known area for past insurgent activities.
The persistence of the police team paid off in the early hours of Monday, around 2:00 AM, when they successfully located and unearthed the concealed arsenal.
