Guwahati, 1st October: Another accident occurred near the Nilachal Flyover in Guwahati’s Kamakhya Gate area on Sunday morning, just within 24 hours of a major road mishap.
According to reports, a DI pickup van with registration number ML10 C 5644 was heading from Maligaon towards Bhalarumukh when it lost control and collided with a Swift car, bearing registration AS01 HC 3592, causing damage to the car.
The pickup van, loaded with fruits, overturned after the collision.
Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported in this incident.
However, the driver of the pickup van fled the scene.
The Jalukbari Traffic Police has arrived at the site.
Notably, this marks the second accident within a 24-hour period. The previous day, on Saturday morning, a speeding truck on the Nilachal Flyover, headed towards Bharalumukh side, struck four motorcycles and a city bus, resulting in one fatality on the spot and several injuries.
