Guwahati: In an unfortunate turn of events, a young woman who attempted suicide was rescued in Kamrup Metropolitan district of Assam on Thursday.
According to reports, the woman attempted to commit suicide at her partner’s residence in Guwahati’s Panjabari area.
The identity of the woman, hailing from East Garo Hills, has not been established yet.
Upon receiving information, Dispur Police officials reached the spot and rescued the distressed woman.
Meanwhile, police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
It needs to be mentioned that her partner has been detained for interrogation.
