Guwahati: A woman was thrashed to death by her son in Kokrajhar district of Assam on Wednesday.
According to reports, the deceased woman has been identified as Bhimsari Bhengra.
The incident took place at the Dingdingi village in the Mornoi Tea Estate of Kokrajhar.
According to locals, she used to get into arguments with her son Patrash Bhengra about his drinking problems.
He regularly comes home drunk and fights with his mother about money and other things only they know about, reports claimed.
Similarly, he returned home inebriated on Tuesday night and began an altercation with his mother.
The verbal altercation quickly escalated into a physical altercation, and he began thrashing his mother severely.
She was seriously injured during her son’s attack, and she died as a result of her injuries before she could be rescued and sent to the hospital.
However, Patresh was arrested by the police on Wednesday morning.
