Guwahati: In an unfortunate incident, a woman died of electrocution after coming into contact with high tension wire in Sonitpur district of Assam on Saturday.
The incident has been reported in Jamugurihat of the district.
The deceased has been identified as Semanti Devi, a resident of Bogabeel.
According to reports, the accident occurred due to a technical glitch in the water pump.
Reportedly, Devi came into contact with the electric wires of the electric pump and was electrocuted and killed on the spot.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been sent to a nearby hospital for post-mortem report.
