Woman puts husband up for sale on auction site

Guwahati: An Irish woman put her husband up for sale on an auction site after he left her at home with their two children during the summer holidays to go fishing.

On the Trade Me website, John McAlister was characterized as 6’1, 37 years old, and a beef farmer.

John has had a number of past owners, according to Linda McAlister, but provided he is properly fed and hydrated, he should remain loyal.

John learned about the ad through his buddies. He added, “I’m just giggling at the whole thing.”

Linda continued, “He was convinced he’d earn a pretty sum… he’s actively watching the commercial to prove said hypothesis.”

Linda’s homeland, Ireland, hosted their wedding in 2019. On his father’s side, John is Irish.

The listing drew 12 bids, and within a few hours, the bidding had risen to NZD100 (approximately Rs 5,000). Interested purchasers wanted to learn more about their potential husband. Some offered to exchange theirs for John’s.

When someone inquired, “”Extremely fond of extended pasture and or weather chats; often on a Friday evening, with a strong focus on hydration,” Linda replied. She also has sock-on-the-floor-itus, which I’ve discovered is viral among younger models and, regrettably, recurs.”

Trade Me removed the bid due to a violation of the terms and conditions.

Trade Me policy and compliance manager, James Ryan, said that it was the first time in recent memory that he had seen someone list their spouse for sale.
