Woman’s Body Found in Suitcase in Bengaluru, Husband Detained

National: A gruesome discovery was made in Bengaluru on Thursday, March 27, when the body of a 32-year-old woman from Maharashtra was found stuffed inside a suitcase.

The victim, identified as Gauri Khedekar, was allegedly murdered by her husband, Rakesh Rajendera Khedekar.

According to the police, the couple had moved to Bengaluru last month and were living in a flat at Doddakammanahalli village. The house owner alerted the police control room at around 5:30 pm, leading to the discovery of Gauri’s body with stab injuries.

Rakesh, who works for a private firm, was detained in Pune and is being brought to Bengaluru for interrogation. The motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained. The police are also investigating reports that Rakesh had informed Gauri’s parents about the killing.

Gauri had completed her bachelor’s degree in mass media, while Rakesh was working from home. Forensic experts have collected samples from the crime scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
